Sandy Parish, Bermuda – The annual two day national holiday in Bermuda known as Cup Match kicks off on July 28th and 29th. The Cup Match is centered around two days of Cricket matches between rival clubs Somerset and St. Georges. This year’s version takes place takes place at Somerset Cricket Club on Cricket Lane in Sandys Parish.
Cup Match alternates each year between venues and it is always held on the last Thursday and Friday before August 1st. It is annually attended by 15,000 fans who if they aren’t watching the action are playing the popular game of chance known as Crown and Anchor.
