The Kiwis take control.

Great Sound, Bermuda – Emirates Team New Zealand could not have asked for a better weekend as they went 4-0 over defending America’s Cup Champion Oracle Team USA. The match now stands at 3-0 in favor of New Zealand as they have made up their minus one deficit and then some as they race to seven points to see who takes home the America’s Cup.

Peter Burling’s Emirates Team New Zealand is a faster boat thus far, plain and simple. How Oracle Team USA’s Jimmy Spithill plans to challenge that speed will be known on Saturday the 24 th when racing resumes. Thus far New Zealand’s choice of cycling rather than the traditional use of arms for the grinding looks to be a key component in the New Zealand’s success. Burling, the skipper of Emirates Team New Zealand, is only 26 but is showing maturity well beyond his years on the course.
