2017 Marion to Bermuda Recap

The crew of the Jambi celebrate their victory in the 2017 Marion to Bermuda race.

Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club, Bermuda – The forty-seven boat Marion to Bermuda Race faced some tough conditions in this year’s version of the boat. The main problem, the lack of wind. The boats started their trek on Friday June 9th and would not reach Bermuda until Wednesday June 15th. The lack of wind forced several of the boats to withdraw. But in the end The “Jambi” a new Hinckley Bermuda 50 skippered by John Levinson persevered and was the champion of this year’s 40th anniversary edition of the Marion to Bermuda. The Goslings Dark and Stormy cocktails were awaiting them as they pulled into The Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club. Congratulations to the “Jambi” and to all of those who competed!
